How do I set a decoy password?

You can set a decoy password by going to the SETTINGS page, then choosing the top setting option listed under "Select Active Lock Type". Now choose the lock type you wish to use. You now have two options; you can set the main pass code or the decoy pass code. Please note that you must set a main pass code for the lock type you want to be able to login using the decoy pass at your desired login lock screen.

How do I add a Note, Contact or Bookmark?

In v1.5 of My Secret Folder you can tap on the + icon at the bottom of the main 'Albums' overview section. This will bring up a list of available album types from Photos & Video, Notes, Bookmarks and Contacts. Selecting one of the latter options will create a particular album for that type. Once created you can then begin to add your personal content for that album type.

Why can't I hide another Apps in My Secret Folder application?

Due to restrictions we are unable to allow users the ability to hide Apps in My Secret Folder, however in v1.5 you now have the ability to store Contact details, Notes (such as passwords and private lists) and Bookmarks in this App.

Why does the High Quality Photo/Video Importing setting still not create a 1:1 exact copy of the file?

Photos are actually created as exact perfect copies however when viewing them they may not appear to be an exact copy. This is something to do with the viewer (which we are are currently working on for the next update). Rest assured that when you export your image to the camera roll or computer you will find that it is the same as the original file.

Can I change the name of this App from being \'My Folder\' ?

Due to restrictions we are unable to allow this feature in My Secret Folder as the name \'My Folder\' is bound to the App itself and this cannot be changed or edited by users.

When I Export to Camera Roll, I don't see the images in my Camera Roll

When exporting a high volume of images or video to your Camera Roll it might take some time for them to export and appear. Please give it time and make sure you do not turn off the device during this process.

Can I set a password for the App when an attempt to delete the App is made?

We are unable to ask for a password outside of the App. However if you create a passworded restriction on your device. To do this, go to General Settings on your device and select Restrictions. Create a password and once created make sure 'Deleting Apps' is set to Off. This will stop anyone from deleting any App, including My Secret Folder, from your device without entering a password.

How do you add videos?

When in a selected Album area, tap the + icon on the bottom navigation bar and then select the Videos button at the top of the screen. This will show you your videos in your Camera Roll, which you can then import into your album.

Why am I unable to add videos that are not in my Camera Roll?

Due to DRM and Sharing restrictions we are unable to add content from the device's Video App. We can only import video from your Camera Roll folder. We will be bringing out a new feature that will allow downloading videos from internet sources. This is currently scheduled for version 1.6 of My Secret Folder.

How do I set the camera to photo the intruder?

Break-in photos is on by default. If you wish you turn this on or off, you can find this option in Settings, under the Pass codes section. Photos that are taken can be viewed in the 'View Attempts' option under the Break In Attempt section, by tapping on a thumbnail next to each break in attempt.

How do I save videos and photos back to my PC/Mac?

Whilst viewing an album, enter share/edit mode (bottom left button) and select the content you wish to save back to your PC/Mac. You then need to Export this content back to your Camera Roll. Once this has been completed, check the content is on your Camera Roll in the Photo App then Sync your device with your PC/Mac to transfer them via iTunes, Windows Explorer on PC and Apple Preview on Mac. If you wish to keep your photos secret, be sure to remove them from your Camera Roll once they have been exported from the device.

What is 'Decoy mode' and what does it do?

The optional decoy mode allows you to 'fake' a log in attempt. So if someone is asking to see your Secret Folder you can log in with a decoy pass code and access a 'safer' secret folder that you don't mind sharing its content with. Whilst in decoy mode the Settings button will be hidden, so that the person you are showing cannot access the settings menu and find out that they are in decoy mode. It is recommended that you put some content in the decoy area to avoid increased suspicion.

Where is the browser in My Secret Folder?

To use the My Secret Folder browser, first you need to create a Bookmark Album Type. In the Album overview tap the + button at the bottom, then select Bookmarks Album Type. Enter a name for the album and press the Save button. Then press the + button on the following screen to launch the browser and save a bookmark to your newly created bookmark album.

How do I change from a keypad to the Dot Lock password screen?

[Note: Dot lock access type will be coming in v1.6 of My Secret Folder] To change to a Dot Lock/Pattern password screen, go into Settings and select \'Entry Type\'. Select Dot Lock on the following screen. Be sure that you have set a pattern code under 'Set Dot Lock' and 'Set Decoy Dot Lock', otherwise the App will continue to use the keypad passcode for entry into the App.
